The International Trade department gives advice and information on exporting and importing. We have contacts throughout the Chamber World Wide network, as well as specific contacts in many countries of the world.

Trade Missions

We have a programme of overseas visits for Merseyside companies. All of these visits attract funding from Objective One (ERDF). Qualifying participants can obtain up to 50% of the costs towards travel and accommodation.

Some of the events are linked into specific exhibitions. The programme regularly includes:-

• Czech Republic
• Romania
• The Baltics

The chamber is a fully accredited to organise Market Visits funded by the UKTI.

Continued Professional Development (CPD) Programme

This initiative will develop, update and inform importers and exporters on the various procedures. Our team of tutors have experience in assisting organisations of all sizes to develop markets and overcome the issues associated with international trade.

Our CPD programme includes:

• Introduction to Exporting and Importing
• Introduction to the Appointment of Agents and Distributors Overseas
• Market Research for Exporters
• Introduction to Export Procedures and Documentation.

The Department also organises market-specific seminars and inward trade missions.
